Issue 162 of the Christchurch Art Gallery’s Bulletin magazine focused on the highly successful Ron Mueck exhibition. We used a strong mix of type, image and colour to create a bold yet sensitive portrayal of this well know artist. With every Bulletin, one of our key design challenges is creating a sense of flow throughout the magazine. We spend a lot of time at the outset crafting a pagination that ensures a sense rhythm, balance, contrast and interest throughout the entire issue.
